AC problem forces closure of Fort Rouge Leisure Centre

The city has temporarily closed the Fort Rouge Leisure Centre due to problems with the facility's air conditioning.

Earlier today, the Osborne Street facility encountered problems with its air cooling system. Occupants were able to safely exit the building. Winnipeg officials have advised the building will be closed until further notice for mechanical repairs.

Programming has been suspended, and participants will be contacted with further information.

The Osborne Library, located within the leisure centre, is also closed. Officials said the book return is open for any dropoffs.
