Boy killed in ATV crash
An 11-year-old Portage la Prairie boy died in an ATV accident Friday afternoon.
RCMP said two 11-year-old boys were driving a four-wheel ATV on a private farm property east of Portage La Prairie on Friday at 3:30 p.m. when the vehicle flipped.
The passenger escaped without injury, but the driver was trapped underneath the ATV.
The injured boy was transported to Portage General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
RCMP traffic analysts are assisting with the investigation. There were no other vehicles or people involved in the crash.
Police have not released the boys' names.
