Aboriginal School of Dance off to ‘folklore Olympic games’

Winnipeg’s Aboriginal School of Dance will represent the country in the "folklore Olympic games" in South Korea next month.
The Aboriginal School of Dance will represent Folklorama at the 2012 Anseong CIOFF World Folkloriada in Anseong, South Korea, Oct. 1-14. The International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF) organizes the event every four years to promote international cultural exchanges. A total of 93 countries will be represented.
"We’re absolutely honoured to have the opportunity to represent our nation and show the world what we do," Buffy Handel, Aboriginal School of Dance founder and choreographer, said in a statement.
