Aboriginal student council marching to protest Tory bill

Members of the University of Winnipeg’s Aboriginal Student Council will march from the university to the Legislative Building today to protest the Conservative government’s Bill C-45.

Bill C-45 is the federal government's omnibus bill that includes controversial changes to the Indian Act.

The march will begin at 11 a.m. on Ellice Avenue and head down Colony Street.

Once the protestors reach the Legislative Building, they will hold a protest in front of the building.
