Above-normal temps expected today

Slap on the sunscreen and put on your sandals — a summer blast is here for at least this weekend.

Environment Canada is predicting Winnipeg’s high will be a much-above seasonal 27 C today. The normal high today is 15 C.

The sun will be out all day and the UV index is listed as four or moderate.

Sunday won’t be as hot as today, but it’s still nothing to sneeze at: a high of 22 C, a low of 12 C , and sunny as well.

The mercury is forecast to tumble this week with highs of 18 C on Monday and Tuesday, 11 C on Wednesday, 7 C on Thursday and 9 C on Friday.
