WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added another quarterback in Adam DiMichele.

The former Temple University pivot has spent time on the Calgary Stampeders practice roster this season.

The Bombers have now added three quarterbacks in the last two weeks in Casey Bramlet, Ricky Santos and DiMichele.

To "all" you naysayers - did you ever stop and think, with an open mind (that's a key question in case you don't get it), that we could be acquiring some diamonds in the rough - the Blue Bombers, regardless of what they do or don't do this year, the franchise will continue. Good teams plan for the long haul and you don't know the outcome of a long haul in the first few months! All of these players that you whine about leaving or getting traded - we had them, we didn't win then either (reality check). Get over your selfish and vindictive rants, perhaps some of these new, unknown young players will be the next Milt Stegall or Damon Allen. If you all are able to predict the future, then tell me what numbers to pick for 649! Truth is you're just ranting on with unrealistic expectations. Not everything in this world is instant or guaranteed - get over your sense of entitlement and quit trashing the rest of us who are fans. It's "you all" that are going to ruin any hope of a future for this club to move forward with your talks of boycotting and hate rallys. As a fan, I'll keep hoping that whoever does make the decisions does exactly the opposite of what you suggest. . .

Donmaximo:
Thanks for your comments, and I do agree with you, but only to a point. What I'm saying is that Kelly has been given ample opportunity to make his scheme work and turn the season around. He's been given QB after QB after QB with the hopes of finding someone who can do something for the team. So now I think it's time for Kelly to start producing some numbers in the "W" column. He's talked the talk, now let's see him walk the walk. And if he can't, well, having ex-coaches on the payroll isn't our problems as fans, the problem lies with Lyle Bauer and the head office.

FWIW, the only bandwagon I'm on is the one that involves Bomber players wearing Grey Cup rings. :-)

I think the Bombers are in serious trouble. Last year we had arguably the best receiving corps in the league, now they are all gone. Are the new guys any good? It's hard to say. Are any of the new QB's any good? I don't know the answer to that either.

Kelly has stripped a .500 team (I know we were 8-10 last year but we were 1 meltdown to Sask from being a .500 team) and now we have 3 wins and I can't see us winning 6 this year. The Banjo Bowl was our season, if we won that one we weren't in bad shape and possibly a playoff contender but now there is no chance we'll make the playoffs.

The question is, is it "rebuilding" or is it stupidity? Does the coach have any idea of the future direction? I'm not sure he does which means we aren't winning until a few years after he's gone. Remember it took 2 years for a proven coach to fix the Rhinebold mess, this is no different

Goolie - what can I say man - another amazing post! They indeed may all be talent!

Concerned Winnipegger:

Look, I get that everyone is frustrated, I am too - but you keep missing the point.

If the Bombers fire Kelly, they'll be paying the salary of THREE coaches. Now, a losing season sucks, but in the long run giving Kelly some more time to get his act together, and maybe (hopefully) find a QB, is less detrimental to the team and the organization as a whole. There is no financial viability in getting rid of him. It's that simple. And all of the "fans" who are saying they're going to drop their season tickets don't seem to get that depriving an organization in turmoil, and in a financial bind, of more cash is NOT going to fix anything - it simply exacerbates the problem.

Kelly is starting to get the point, evidenced in his loss of some bravado and willingness to concede changes in the offense. Changing the coach now will do more harm than good. I'm just not sure why that is so hard to grasp?

The "Fire Kelly!" bandwagon is so old and tired now I honestly can't believe any true fans are still beating that drum. Further, trying to blame Kelly for things that are so obviously not his fault just makes Winnipeggers look a like blood thirsty mob, rather than concerned citizens trying to help our beloved team get back on track.

This guy looks HOT!!!

We're not saying that Kelly "should" be fired, but how bad do things have to get before people sit up and take notice? What does it take for Kelly to realize that his way of doing things aren't working? We don't necessarily want Kelly's head on a platter, or the stats of the new quarterback-du-jour. We want results. Kelly has had half of a season to prove to us, the fans, that his genius offensive scheme is the be-all and end-all of the CFL, and so far, he hasn't done it. Not even close. It's time to either s*** or get off the pot. Enough talk, Kelly. Show us some results. If you can't do it, then it's time for you to go.

Randy:

The ‘real’ facts, huh?

So, how exactly was Kelly any more responsible than Barrin Simpson for the debacle surrounding his not playing? As I recall, from reading the actual reports, it seemed that Barrin was asked to take a few off because of his injury, which was forcing him to take 2 pain relief injections PER GAME. He asked if it was due to performance and was told “no” (is that where Kelly’s big mouth comes in, because it sounds more like...um, honesty, to me) so he refuses to step aside. Then, he’s offered the chance to play again, like he wanted, and he refuses that too. Finally, he’s reported as sowing seeds of descent in the locker-room. Yep, sounds like Kelly’s big mouth was at fault there, for sure.

And the Glenn thing, wow, I can’t even believe you brought that up. Where were you last year when the Bomber fans booed Glenn off the field and were calling for him to be traded? So Kelly comes in and…you guessed it, trades Glenn (just like the fans wanted) and now you’re mad because…he did exactly what the fans asked for? Hypocrisy much?

Finally, Armstrong. You remember that he REFUSED to play as well, right?

Kelly has made a lot of mistakes, but if you’re going to call him out on them, at least use the “real” facts that you claim to know so much about. Otherwise you join the loooong list of bandwagon jumpers offering their two cents that make no sense at all – another voice in the “Fire Kelly!” lynch mob who can’t see beyond the 3 feet in front of them.

Perhaps everyone knows our plays because a certain ex-player left his playbook on the plane? Guess all you haters forgot about that.

So I guess the whole QB school idea in the pre-season pretty much was a failure.
This season has become a "what if" season. What if we kept Glenn, Armstrong and everyone else that was rushed out of town.
