A 76-year-old Arborg man died on Thursday after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7 about three kilometres south of Arborg.
Gimli RCMP said the man was driving a 1994 Buick Century southbound when he lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic. The Buick was struck on the driver's side by a northbound 2013 Ford Escape.
The 76-year-old Arborg man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. His name will not be released.
The driver of the Ford, a 37-year-old Teulon man, was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation. Roads were reported to be slippery and ice-covered at the time of the collision.
