Armed robbers exit restaurant with cash

  • Print

Two men brandishing handguns robbed a restaurant on Henderson Highway on Saturday at about 11:40 p.m.

Winnipeg Police Service spokesman Cst. Jason Michalyshen said the men came into a restaurant in the 200 block of Henderson Highway and confronted three employees.

"No one was injured and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken," he said, noting no shots were fired. "I’m sure the victims in this matter were pretty shaken up, a very scary situation for them."

One suspect was described as aboriginal in appearance and about six-feet tall with a stocky build, long black hair and bushy eyebrows. The second suspect was decribed as being 5-6 to 5-8 in height with a smaller build than the other suspect.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspects is asked to call Winnipeg police at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477(TIPS).
