Arrest made in Transcona stabbing
Police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the stabbing death of a 19-year-old man early Saturday morning.
They confirmed the deceased is Nolan Norman, who turned 19 on Nov. 9. He is Winnipeg's 25th homicide victim of the year.
Police have arrested 20-year-old Jordan Allan Costello and charged him with second degree murder and two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking. Costello remains in detention at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
Norman was stabbed in the 300 block of Victoria Avenue East in Transcona, but made his way to the nearby 7-Eleven at Regent Avenue and Day Street at about 3:20 a.m.
The man, who was stabbed several times, was rushed to hospital, but died.
