Arson strike force investigates Main Street fire

A fire in a vacant Main Street building has caused $45,000 damage.

Winnipeg police said patrol officers were in the area of Main Street and Bannerman Avenue when they noticed the smell of smoke coming from a vacant building in the 1300 block of Main Street at around 3:45 a.m.

No one was injured in the blaze, and the arson strike force is investigating the cause.
