Assault leaves man in critical condition

A man in his 20s is in critical condition after an early morning assault in East Kildonan.
Winnipeg police Const. Jason Michalyshen said a man was assaulted in the 100 block of Mighton Avenue shortly after 5 a.m. Police said two males became involved in a dispute and one man was initially taken to hospital in stable condition.
Michalyshen said his condition has worsened and he is now in critical condition.
The major crimes unit is at the scene and continues to investigate.
