  • Print

RCMP say an autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday on a body found early Sunday morning on a trail in the northern community of God’s Lake First Nation.

To date, RCMP have not confirmed the gender or identity of the body found in the fly-in Cree community, located about 550 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.

But several residents have said the body of Leah Kendra Anderson, believed to be 15, was found by a resident.

She had been missing since Friday night, community members said.

RCMP investigators are in the community, and the investigation is continuing.
