RCMP investigators have charged 29-year-old Allyson Boulanger of Bloodvein First Nation with second-degree murder in the death of a 31-year-old man from Bloodvein Sunday.

Police are not releasing the victim’s name.

Boulanger remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court Wednesday.

An autopsy has been completed, and the cause of death has been attributed to a stab wound, RCMP Sgt. Line Karpish said today.

RCMP members at Bloodvein First Nation were called to a disturbance at a house party in the community around 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, members located an injured adult male. He was transported to the nursing station where he later died, Karpish said. The suspect and victim are known to each other, said police.
