Boyfriend accused of manslaughter in city's latest homicide

A Winnipeg man has been accused of stabbing his girlfriend and then driving her to the hospital, where she died of her injuries.

Police say Beverly Custer, 34, was stabbed at the couple’s home in the 100 block of Barrington Ave., in St. Vital early Wednesday morning.

Keith Alexander Wallace, 27 has been charged with manslaughter.

Police say the victim and the accused got into an argument that turned violent. After the assault, the suspect drove the victim to Victoria Hospital for treatment.

The man has been detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
