Burton Cummings Theatre to be busy at beginning of December
The beginning of December is going to be a busy time at the Burton Cummings Theatre.
Vancouver alt-pop band Mother Mother will stop at the Burt on Dec. 4 in support of its new album, The Sticks. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday for $27.50 and $43.50 at Ticketmaster. Singer-songwriter Hannah Georgas will open the show.
Exactly one week later on Dec. 11, Juno Award-winning Saskatoon retro rockers the Sheepdogs will play the same venue in support of their new self-titled album, which debuted at No. 1 in Canada earlier this month. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday for $27.50 and $39.75 at Ticketmaster.
Vancouver indie-rock quartet Yukon Blonde is the opening act.
The two shows announced Tuesday bring to four the venue will host in the span of nine days. On Monday, a Dec. 3 date for roots-rocker Corb Lund was announced (tickets on sale Friday for $27.50 and $37.75 at Ticketmaster) and a co-headlining bill featuring Canadian rock bands Theory of a Deadman and Big Wreck is scheduled for Dec. 6 (tickets on sale Friday for $47.50 and $53.50 at Ticketmaster).
