Winnipeg Police said a suspect had been identified in a March 23 incident on a Winnipeg Transit bus. A 26-year-old man had been listening to music on his cellphone when another passenger grabbed the phone and ran off the bus near Main Street and Kilbride Avenue.

As a result of a continued investigation by police, the suspect was located shortly after 5 p.m. in the 800-block of Winnipeg Avenue and taken into custody.

The suspect faces one count of robbery. He has been released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
