Polo Park closes early due to water main break

  • Print

Polo Park Shopping Centre closed early tonight because of a water main break in the area. Without water, the mall closed at 8 p.m. instead of the regular 9 p.m. closing time, a guest services representative said tonight.

The city is scrambling to repair a water main break affecting businesses in the Polo Park area.

This evening, the Pancake House restaurant was forced to close its doors because it was without water. The Clarion Hotel and Suites next door was informing its guests that they, too, were without water. The hotel’s two-storey waterslide is still open, said manager Herb LeGrange.

The city is "working diligently" to repair the water main break, said LeGrange. He said they didn’t yet know how long that would take.
