Cankerworm spraying ends
The city has finished its 2012 cankerworm spraying operation, officials announced Saturday. (FILE)
The city has finished spraying for cankerworms for another year, officials announced Saturday.
The city's insect control branch said today that most cankerworms have stopped eating so there is no point to continue spraying leaves.
The city encourages people to help fight cankerworms by putting up tree bands during the Labour Day long weekend.
