A 50-year-old Carman man was killed when the pickup truck he was driving rear-ended a semi early today at the corner of Highway 3 and Highway 23, RCMP said.
The man's three-year-old daughter wasn't injured. She was properly restrained in the rear compartment of the extended cab, RCMP said.
The westbound semi-tractor trailer was turning north onto Highway 3 at Jordan’s Corner when it was rear-ended about 12:15 a.m. by the 2001 GMC 1500 pickup truck.
The name of the pickup truck driver who was killed is not being released. He was wearing his seat belt, RCMP said.
The driver of the semi was not hurt, police said.
The accident is still under investigation.
