A gaming centre on the Dakota Tipi First Nation was robbed in the early hours today when two people made their way into the cash room.

The two suspects entered the Dakota Tipi Gaming Centre just after 12 a.m. armed with a firearm and a bat. The culprits, wearing hoodies and balaclavas covering their faces, barged into the cash room where they took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

No injuries were reported.

The RCMP D Division dog service and members of the Amaranth and Portage la Prairie RCMP detachments investigated the incident, but were unable to immediately locate the suspects.

Anyone with information about the robbery are asked to contact the Central Plains RCMP at 857-4445 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
