  • Print

A 30-year-old man was robbed Saturday by a person he was attempting to buy a phone from.

Police say the victim and a person offering to sell him a cell phone met on the 100 block of Hargrave Street about 9:40 p.m. Saturday.

During the meeting, the male seller of the phone pulled out a knife and demanded the money. The victim attempted to flee from the scene but was followed and attacked.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries, but was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2848 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
