Charges laid in death of man in Thompson
RCMP have charged a 25-year-old man in connection with the death of a man in Thompson.
On Sunday, RCMP were dispatched to a a residence in the Eastwood neighbourhood where they found an unresponsive man. He was transported to Thompson General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Police have identified the victim as 27-year-old Jarod Daniel Jensen of the RM of St. Andrews. An autopsy has been performed, but the cause of death has yet to be determined pending further investigation by the chief medical examiner's office.
RCMP have arrested and charged Shane Corson Braun of Thompson with second degree murder. He remains in custody and will make a court appearance in Thompson on Thursday.
The victim and the accused were known to one another.
