CHEECH and Chong are coming back to Winnipeg, man.

Comedy duo Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong will bring their Get it Legal tour to the Pantages Playhouse Theatre on Feb. 4, almost a year after their reunion tour, Light Up America, stopped at the same venue for two sold-out shows.

Tickets for the new show go on sale Friday for $49.50 and $75.50 at Ticketmaster.

The pair have teamed up with the Marijuana Policy Project on the Get it Legal tour to raise awareness about the issue of cannabis legalization and more reasonable drug laws.

Cheech and Chong are best known for their stoner-based comedy sketches and movies from the 1970s and early 1980s.

Chong, 72, who was born in Edmonton, spent nine months in jail in the United States after being arrested in 2003 for selling bongs through his company Chong Glass/Nice Dreams.
