WINNIPEG — The Manitoba Children's Museum is getting a big shot in the arm.

The province and Ottawa will jointly fund $5 million towards the museum's $9.5-million capital-renewal project.

The project will add 12 new galleries to the museum, located at The Forks, and also include a 3,500 square foot welcome centre.

The funding announcement was made at noon today by Premier Greg Selinger and St. Boniface Conservative MP Shelly Glover.
