City man injured in boating collision
A 69-year-old Winnipeg man suffered serious injuries and was transferred to Health Sciences Centre after a boating collision on Lake of the Woods, Ontario Provincial Police reported Monday.
The OPP remains at the scene of the collision in the Morson area of the lake, and released few details of the incident in a Monday morning statement.
OPP said a man in a motorboat struck another boat, and then slammed into the shore.
The 69-year-old man, the only person injured, was taken first to Rainy River Hospital and later transferred to Winnipeg’s HSC, the OPP said.
