Cloudy and cold forecast for today

The forecast calls for cloudy skies today and a high of -20 C.

Environment Canada says we can expect winds from the west by noon reaching 20 km/h, creating a windchill of -34 C.

Snow will fall late tonight, an accumulation of about 2 centimetres.

But the temperatures will rise overnight, reaching -16 C Friday morning.

Another 2 centimetres of snow is expected Friday afternoon, with a high of -9 C and a windchill of -25 C.

Environment Canada says the cooler temperatures will be back for the weekend, with daytime highs of -20 C and -22 C for Saturday and Sunday.
