The Red River Co-op cheques are in the mail!
This morning, the local petroleum company announced record numbers for the 2013 period, with sales topping $571-million and a net profit of over $69-million. Those lofty totals represent the greatest sales totals in the Winnipeg-based petroleum cooperative’s 76-year history.
With this success, the board of directors at Red River Co-op approved an 11.68 per cent allocation of purchases, meaning that more than 225,000 Manitobans will receive some money back per the terms of their membership.
Red River Co-op expects to distribute $54.9-million to its membership this week. The average rebate cheque will be $243, the company said in a release.
In the past five years, Red River Co-op has returned over $200.3-million to its members.
