Garth Collings is the oldest ever winner of the Manitoba Amateur Golf Championship.

The 51-year-old Breezy Bend member shot a three-over 74 today at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club and his four-over-par total of 290 was good enough to outlast four young rivals.

Selkirk’s Scott Borsa, who had a superb two-under 69 today, slipped into second spot, just one back of Collings.

Pine Ridge’s Scott Loewen, who led after each of the first three days, finished tied for third, two back of Collings.

Sharing third at six-over was Niakwa’s Scott Markham after a 78.

It’s the third provincial crown for Collings who last won in 1994.
