One man is dead following a collision between a truck and a semi trailer Monday night.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., Stonewall RCMP and emergency personnel responded to an accident at the intersection of Highway 6 and Provincial Road 236 in the R.M. of Rosser. A pickup truck travelling south on 236 failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by the westbound semi.
The 48-year-old driver of the truck was pronounced dead on the scene. His name will not be released. The 47-year-old driver of the semi received minor injuries.
The area around the intersection was closed off for approximately five hours late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. RCMP traffic analysts continue to investigate.
