Two unrelated collisions near Oak Bluff this afternoon have caused major traffic tie-ups, RCMP said.
The first collision, a two-vehicle crash at the junction of Highways 2 and 3, caused significant traffic delays and forced the RCMP to divert traffic to other roads.
Following that incident, two vehicles travelling on Hwy 2 were involved in a rear-end collision a mile west of the junction. RCMP hoped to have those vehicles cleared from the area by late afternoon.
RCMP ask motorists to avoid the areas while they investigate the accidents.
No serious injuries were reported.
Updated on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 2:52 PM CDT: Adds second collision
