The Shärt International Comedy Film Festival takes over the Park Theatre May 10 for its second annual celebration of silver-screen laughs.
The festival, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, will screen 35 short films from around the world, including submissions from as far away as Sweden, Turkey and Japan.
"We’re excited that after only one season we’ve most probably taken the titles of both longest-running comedy film festival in Canada and the only comedy film festival in Canada," jokes festival co-founder Andrew Wall in a press release.
Tickets at the door sell for $15 or can be purchased for half-price from their website, www.shartfilmfestival.com.
