Coney Hatch, the Toronto hard rock band of yore, will play its first Winnipeg gig since the 1980s on Saturday at the Convention Centre.
The band is combining an album release party — its new record, Four, their first since 1992 and first since singer Carl Dixon’s emergence from a coma after a 2008 car crash in Australia — with the Thursday Night Riders’ fifth annual fundraiser for the Children’s Wish Foundation.
The Thursday Night Riders are a group of Winnipeg motorcycle enthusiasts who teamed up 25 years ago to hit the open road on Thursday nights. They started giving back to the community five years ago by revving up season-ending fundraisers.
Tickets, $25 for the 8 p.m. show, are available at the door and at Harley-Davidson of Winnipeg, Gaslight Harley-Davidson, Before the Beach Tanning Salon or from a Thursday Night Rider member.
