Black Friday shoppers were greeted with a bit of the white stuff in Winnipeg this morning.
A light snow fell on southern Manitoba, but it’s expected to taper off by the afternoon. The temperature should remain steady at -9 C. Clouds should clear off by night time, leading to an overnight low of -20 C.
Saturday’s weather should be similar to Friday. A light snow is expected to fall in the morning and extend into the afternoon. A 20 km/h south wind will gust to 50 km/h should add some bite to the -6 C high.
The forecast is partly cloudy on Sunday and Monday with a high of -8 C on Sunday and -12 C on Monday.
The sun is expected to emerge on Tuesday and lead to slightly warmer temperatures. Environment Canada predicts the mercury to climb to -8 C on Tuesday, -4 C on Wednesday and -2 C next Thursday.
