Cool weather continues today

  • Print

If you’re waiting for the return of warm weather, you’ll have to be patient.

Environment Canada says Winnipeggers can expect three more days of unseasonably cool weather, with the daytime highs struggling to reach the double digits.

But their patience will be rewarded on Monday, with the return of summer-like weather. And the warm temperatures and sunny skies are expected to stick around right through Thursday, with daytime highs fluctuating between 23 C to 27 C.

For today, however, you’ll have to put up with a cloudy sky and a few showers during the morning and early afternoon, then a mix of sun and cloud for the rest of the day with a chance of more showers in the evening.

Strong northwest winds — 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h — will keep the temperature from climbing much higher than about 11 C before dropping down to the freezing mark overnight.

Saturday is shaping up to be a sunny day, but well below normal temperature wise, with a high of only 8 C. The normal high for this time of year is 14 C.

And it will be a similar story for Sunday — sunny and a high of 10.
