There were no injuries in a fire that started near midnight Monday and was battled by Winnipeg fire crews in the early hours this morning at Prendiville Industries at 165 Ryan St.
Five people who were working as cleaning staff got out safely. The company manufactures a range of wood products.
A Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service spokesman said it was a fire in a piece of stationery machinery and there was extensive smoke and water damage throughout the building.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
No damage estimate was available this morning.
