An early-morning drunk-driving crash in St. Vital Saturday injured four and shunted a parked car off the road and up onto a snowbank, Winnipeg police said today.
Police were called to St. Vital Road and Dunkirk Drive around 6 a.m. where they saw a Honda Accord had struck a parked Chevy Cobalt, pushing it up onto the bank of snow.
Four passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries. The 18-year-old driver of the Honda was identified and arrested, said police.
He was released on a promise to appear in court to face charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm and driving over the legal limit of .08.
His name was not released because he has not been formally charged.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged, police said.
