Dauphin man charged with robbing gas station

A Dauphin man has been charged with robbing  a gas station last month.

Leroy Christopher Thompson, 24, was arrested at a Main Street residence in Dauphin on Wednesday, Dauphin RCMP said today.

A man entered a gas station on Main Street in Dauphin with a long gun on Feb. 19 at about 8:30 p.m. He forced the clerk to empty the cash register and then fled south on foot, RCMP said.

The clerk was not injured during the robbery.
