A courier plane that normally flies for FedEx has crashed into Hudson Bay several hundred kilometres east of Churchill.
Only small debris from the Cessna 208, operated by Edmonton’s Morningstar Air Express, has so far been located. The plane, which was carrying no cargo and only the pilot, left radar at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
RCMP and officials from the Transportation Safety Board are investigating. TSB staff from Ontario were dispatched to begin the investigation this morning.
