Disraeli demolition mishap
Health and safety officials on the scene

Workplace Safety and Health officials are assisting demolition crews after a mishap took place this afternoon as workers take apart the old Disraeli Freeway bridge.
A large piece of the old bridge has broken off and is suspended over the Red River by two large cranes. The cranes were moving the piece but the load buckled and slid towards the frozen river. The demolition crews and the workplace safety officials are figuring out the best way to solve the problem.
There have been no reports of injuries at the worksite. Traffic on the new Disraeli Freeway bridge has not been affected by the incident.
