It was a special morning for 105 students who officially became doctors at the University of Manitoba's convocation ceremony for medical graduates at the Brodie Centre.
"When I look at the 105 MDs graduating today, I see a diverse group of individuals that have overcome many different challenges," said Dr. Brian Postl, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, in a statement. "These students represent an identity with the individuals they will go on to serve as physicians. "
He said more than 70 per cent of the graduates are staying at the U of M to complete their residencies.
