  • Print

Lac du Bonnet RCMP and the Whitemouth Fire Department responded to a fatal single vehicle collision on Aug. 10.

RCMP arrived on the scene at around 8 p.m. to find a pickup truck on fire in the ditch about three kilometers south of Highway 44 on Julius Road in the RM of Reynolds. Once the fire was put out, a deceased individual was found in the vehicle.

Early investigation suggests the vehicle was heading south on Julius Road when the driver lost control in a curve, hit a tree and then the vehicle caught on fire. However, the investigation continues.

The driver has been tentatively identified as a 47 year-old RM of Reynolds resident. The name of the driver will not be released.
