Driver ticketed for running red light in crash that injured 4

Police have ticketed a 65-year-old male driver involved in a two-car collision Wednesday at Logan Avenue and Main Street in which four people were injured, police said this morning.
One vehicle mounted the sidewalk and struck two pedestrians before crashing into Mitchell Fabrics.
The male drivers, aged 65 and 75 years, as well as two male pedestrians, aged 49 and 51 years, were taken to hospital. The 51-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital in unstable condition before being upgraded to stable. The other injured people were taken to hospital in stable condition.
As a result of an investigation conducted by Division 11 members, it has been determined that a 2010 Cadillac Seville was northbound on Main Street when it is alleged to have entered the intersection against a red light, colliding with the 2009 Honda Accord, which was eastbound on Logan Avenue, police said.
Police said the Cadillac’s 65-year-old driver received a provincial offence notice for disobeying a traffic control device.
