Enjoy sunny end to gloomy week

Grey and gloomy are out, at least for the next two days according to Environment Canada this morning.

Today’s forecast has been upgraded to mainly sunny with a high of 6 C. All you’re being asked to bear today is a 30 km/h wind, with possible gusts to 50 km/h, that will subside later in the day.

Environment Canada is forecasting an even better day Friday, after a frosty start. A high of 10 C is on the board, and also the promise of some wind.

For Saturday’s Winnipeg-Calgary CFL game at Canad Inns Stadium, the outlook is for a cloudy day with a high of 13 C.

The longer-term forecast for Winnipeg also appears to be quite bearable; the back end of the weekend on Sunday calls for sun and cloud with a high of 15 C.

Right through to the end of the forecast period, next Wednesday, forecast highs each day are above the seasonal normal of 11 C.
