Winnipeg is expected to get its first blast of winter-like weather today with a strong chance of flurries this morning and a wind chill of -25 C tonight.
Environment Canada says this morning’s southwest wind will shift to the northwest, with gusts from 30 to 50 kilometres per hour by noon. Today’s high of -3 C is expected to drop to -10 C in the afternoon.
Remembrance Day is expected to be chilly as well, with a high of -9 C forecast for Monday, a 20-km/h northwest wind and a mix of sun and cloud.
Temperatures are expected to rise early in the week to Wednesday, with a high of 5 C, then drop back down to around seasonal normals later in the week. The normal high for this time of year in Winnipeg is 0 C.
