Family that deals together, stays together? Drugs found in raid

Family time took on a new meaning this week when Winnipeg police raided a south St. Vital home and arrested a woman and her son for allegedly dealing pot.

Police said a home on Thunder Bay in the Meadowood Park neighbourhood was raided Tuesday.

Inside, police found 2½ pounds of marijuana and more than $1,000 in cash.

The marijuana has an estimated street value of $7,500.

A 59-year-old woman and her 28 year-old son were arrested and are facing a variety of drug and trafficking related charges.

The son is also facing weapons charges.

Both were released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
