Fashion show tonight opens new Value Village
Bargain lovers can get a sneak peek at the secondhand treasures at Winnipeg’s fifth Value Village store today, before it officially opens to the public on Thursday.
Walk the Walk is a fashion-show preview event from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the new store in Unicity, at 3629 Portage Ave. (next to Winners).
Value Village staff will walk the fashion runway. Local fashion maven Anthony Polvorosa will host and demonstrate how to create the latest looks on a budget. Refreshments will be served, and anyone who brings a gently used item to donate will have a chance to win a gift certificate.
The preview event is in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Winnipeg.
