Light fog wraps around the L’Espanade Riel bridge over the Red River this morning.

If you weren’t already thinking about it, prepare yourself for a week-long walk on the mild side.

Once the morning fog dissipates today, Environment Canada is forecasting a high of 1 C, with only a 30 per cent chance of flurries. There’s the same chance of snow overnight, when the low should only be -4 C.

That compares with a normal low of -21 C in this time of deep Winnipeg winter, and high of -11 C.

As for the rest of the week, it’s expected to be above or just below freezing right through the weekend, including Sunday, which is forecast to be a sunny 2 C.
