Filmmaker Mozer interview live via News Café today

  • Print

An unexamined aspect of the Israel-Palestine conflict gets the spotlight in a documentary film about gay Palestineans who have run away from persecution at home to take refuge in Tel Aviv.

The film, titled The Invisible Men, screens Sunday morning at 10 a.m. at the Winnipeg Convention Centre as part of this weekend’s 21st World Conference of GLBT Jews.

The film’s director Yariv Mozer will participate in a question-and-answer session following the film. Mozer will offer a preview of the film in a live Skype interview from Israel with film writer Randall King at the Free Press News Café Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m.

The conference, which also features author Lesléa Newman (Heather Has Two Mommies) takes place July 5 to 7.
