Dissent grows as Bomber fans fume
Chances are that Joe Mack doesn’t ‘like’ the Fire Joe Mack Petition site on Facebook.
The site that calls for the firing of embattled Winnipeg Blue Bombers general manager Joe Mack sprang up Sunday evening and has already topped 3,000 likes.
People in Regina were still celebrating Sunday’s 52-0 trouncing, shellacking, walloping --- get out your thesaurus --- of the Blue Bombers in Sunday’s Labour Day Classic when the site popped up.
There are the usual calls for people to wear paper bags over their heads this Sunday for the Banjo Bowl return match. That is so Air Canada Centre.
And calling for the team to hire Wally Buono --- good luck with that.
On the site, fans are venting their anger at the WBB’s ineptitude this season, especially after Mack pinned the blame on the fired head coach Paul LaPolice.
"Fire Mack! Get some real leadership", wrote Andrea Cecile Miller.
"The problem is in the office. Most poorly managed and arrogant team in the league," said Dwayne Wiebe.
And from Doug Kosheluk: "Mack The Knife has cut the heart out of the Bombers!"
