Fire destroys Virden hardware store

The Office of the Fire Commissioner is investigating a fire early this morning that destroyed Virden, Man.’s True Value hardware store.

Emergency crews were called to the fire just after 3:30 a.m. A four-unit residence behind the store  as well as a building beside it were also extensively damaged, RCMP said in a press release.

There were no injuries reported. Police continue to investigate.
